April… full of contemplation!

Do you remember your granny telling you that when you grow up, time goes much faster than it does when you are a child? It is hard to believe when you are young, but boy, we sure know it is true now.

This month has been about creating bespoke pieces, which I love, especially when the recipient is delighted with my work. It takes time to create, but every piece is made with love. Although this is my business, and of course, I need to make an income, it is more important to me that every piece is a work of art that is not spoilt by the pound sign, so taking the time and enjoying creating is far more rewarding and fulfilling.

What is also important is remembering to take time out to stop my head from racing, to be quiet, and to be absorbed by all the wonders of nature around me.

I enjoy the fun, our giggles and silliness, our mornings out cycling, looking for deer and listening to the birds as we enjoy breakfast out in the hills. The magic and love I share with Robert and remembering not to take what we have for granted but to hold it close and cherish our lives together.

April has been yet another beautiful month, and I am sure this last day will be just perfect. I have planned a morning at the work bench, then an afternoon in the garden for some pottering and of course some down time with my feet up maybe even an iced coffee with my book.

To quote the song… ‘What a difference a day makes’…
